I was in Turkey last May. Watching the evening shows in the outdoor theatre was really cold. The hotel staff came out with blankets for those without a heavy coat . You can buy any make of watch for under $10 ! Best Golf courses I've seen and all reasonably priced. The Montgomery Golf course was excellent. Look for Belek as an alternate place to stay. I really enjoyed it !

Thanks for a great (virtual) meal! I love street food (and near-street) and just enjoyed a similar experience in Istanbul, where I put aside my "issues" with some foods and tried all...including my equivalent of the worm: kokorek, a dish of lamb or goat intestines roasted around sweetbreads. It's amazing how much of our hesitation can be in our heads, not in reality... Hope to see more about Vietnam!

Thank you both for the feedback. I really think tasting the local food is an important part of the travel experience, even though I then have to taste a few strange things... And usually, I end up being pleasantly surprised that the thinks I was hesitating to taste, actually was really good. Heading to Thailand tomorrow, and I am sure I will be challenged a few times during my two weeks there :-)

Some folks might be fascinated by the place, PM, but I found it a disappointment. It would be at the bottom of my list of recommended things to do on the Big Island. And yes, the garden was a redeeming feature. The gift shop was tantalizing, but over-priced.

I wouldn't want to be accused of being anti-Hershey or anything (might be my prejudice about their barring the import of REAL Cadbury milk chocolate), but Hershey has a bad record on factory tours. They used to have a great one at their factory in Hershey, PA, but closed the tour about 25 years ago and replaced it with an amusement-style ride—a little like Small, Small World—that showed trees and natives and ships, and absolutely no sense of how workers turn the nibs into chocolate in a real...

The macadamia tour doesn't sound all that different from the factory part of my visit to Charleston Tea Plantation . But that was just a small part and combined with the guided tour around the farm, it was good. Maybe a tea plantation needs to "cultivate" more goodwill than Hershey's macadamias.

Thanks Rob & Mac. Did I find my drink? I think more research may be needed. However, if it is pulque, unless I move to the Oaxaca countryside, it may be difficult to impossible to find it, unless I make my own 1/2 acre into a maguey farm. The sad thing is, in the Arizona canyon near the Mexico border that was home for 25 years, I had dozens of agave plants literally outside my front door, a missed opportunity. But, since I didn't scratch the surface in my quest to know something about...

I'm also not much of a drinker, and my limited choices tend to be "tropical" as in rum or tequila. Until this, I'd had no idea that mezcal was so varied and different from tequila, although both from agave. And now pulque? Thanks for helping with my "continuing education!"

Does it actually make sense to hire a car for travelling around Delhi itself? Taxis, tuk-tuks, or the metro might often be more sensible choices. The latter obviously has limitations in terms of the places you can reach easily, but at least you don't get stuck in Delhi's horrendous traffic!

Your title says "Best Markets in France", yet you mention only those in Paris. In my experience there are some farther afield that are as least as good, for instance, Marché Saint-Louis in Fontainebleau.
