I wish them success. Canada could use another airline, especially true if ZiNG plans on running as a discounter. I agree with their sentiment that WestJet has lost its way. I've no problem with what planes are used by either company, but their focus on customer service has dropped greatly in the past decade.

It's very hard to start an airline today and ZiNG has got a tough road ahead to launch their airline. But they do raise some interesting arguments for using the Bombardier CS100 and not using hub cities. Watch their You Tube Video:

It's not just ravens at Bow Lake. Here is another inquisitive visitor on my car door - a Clarke's nutcracker last May. Dr. Fumblefinger is correct that Summer comes late in the high country of the Canadian Rockies; Bow Lake still had ice on it in mid-June .

The Maritimes is a rather unique and interesting part of Canada, and it is pretty. The seafood -- especially the scallops -- was excellent. I look forward to seeing more of your photos from that region soon.

Really enjoyed the trip. We were there around autumn and the weather was great, as were the trees. My favourite places were Lunenberg, Blue Rocks, Mahone Bay and Fredericton. Could not take a bad photo!
