In Spain they take the largest, roundest fruits. Cut off the top and scoop out the inside. Fill with Lemon flavour Ice Cream and put the top back on. Wrap in food wrap. Freeze them. Buy them in the store next to the Ice Lollies. No drip Ice Cream !!

Sprinkles (also known as Jimmies) may belong on certain glazed donuts and certainly are part of ice-cream rituals. But on the croissant (glazed!) certainly not. It would be like putting chocolate syrup on a steak. Or, for that matter, a sauce meant for steak on your ice cream.

Ah spent many happy sunny hours at Broadway Tower gazing over the surrounding countryside before going into pretty Broadway village for an ice cream! Follies were also often built 'just because' the landowner wanted to make his 'statement' to show how wealthy he was.

When i last went to Little Tokyo,I tried a little dessert shop in a mini mall there, Mikawaya, and loved it. My family all climbed to the peak of Malham Tarn in Yorkshire. England. Quite an achievement - 4 hours - but you had that feeling of self satisfaction completing it. When I offered all the kids a drink from my rucksack they all refused. "Dad - could we have something from that Ice Cream van ?" A major road passed within 20 feet. The moral of the story being - Had we driven there for an Ice Cream - then 20 years later - No one would remember our day out ! Malham Tarn Yorkshire England

I really do like this idea because a lot of people are too proud to go to food banks if they are in need and at least they can get a few things there. Also , if it spreads its a good way for travelers to pick up a few snacks for the road. The horses (probably only some 10 plus a donkey) and some 50 cattle are allowed to roam and graze totally free (restrained only by cattle grids on the surrounding roads) for around 8 months of the year. Theoretically only animal owners with ancient "Commoners Rights" linked to ownership of old properties in the immediate vicinity of the Common are permitted to release their animals to graze free in this way. I love visiting quirky and delightful places like this! Many years ago we used to visit a little restaurant in Casablanca which served great food prepared by it's French 'patron' whose rudeness and abuse of his customers (never nasty) was an absolute scream! Ah travel! We love you....
