Seems that demand for POD "rooms" is growing.  These small modular sleeping units offer weary travelers the opportunity for a low cost nap or even night's sleep.  If you aren't claustrophobic!  Many airports are looking at adding these units, with outstanding orders from Helsinki and Tel Aviv.

Funny seeing this come back...50 years ago, there was something like this at Washington: A pair of what looked like trailers, mounted above stairs with a small office at the bottom to rent resting places by the hour or afternoon.

 

And the next size up is the very spartan motels like Premiere Classe and Formule One...we call them "a bed in a box," which is about what they are. Great for when you fly in late at night and just want to sleep and then go in the morning!

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
