A great visit and a great hike! Seems like you had nice weather. Was it wet underfoot? Trails have good traction or was slipping and sliding a problem?

Ah, yes...that's something I left out. Traction on the trails was just fine...until it started to rain on our way back to the trailhead. That's when we realized the obvious: in a rain forest, it rains. And of course, the umbrellas were in San Juan. And the overpriced ponchos were in the car, back at the trailhead!

It is too bad you didn't make it to La Mina - Swimming under the falls is one of my favorite things to do in Puerto Rico! I ould say that it is closer to 1.5 miles each way.
