Where in the World is Gumbo? #33

Our poor restless wanderer continues his searching.....always looking for another interesting place to visit. Having left the culture of Sweden (WITW #30) and France (WITW #31), Gumbo, like Moses, has wandered into the wilderness. Even though he was almost caught in a heavy thundershower, Gumbo stayed dry and likes what he sees, as this is a special place.

To repeat the rules: Share your suggestions, hints and discussions with others by posting them here as comments...but if you absolutely know where it is....please give others a couple of days to work on it before you pounce.
