It seems that with the advent of lie-flat seat/beds in business class, the demand for seats in the first class cabins of major carriers has seen a sharp decline. Airlines are considering consolidating the cabins into two main classes -- business and economy (with some economy plus thrown in for good measure).
Good idea? Probably a good business move, though most of us fly in the back (not the front) of the plane. More on this story at this link from Bloomberg Businessweek
