I did a double-take when I saw this little buggy. I was walking out of my father's apartment, heading to my car rental, when I spotted it parked there with all the other cars and trucks. It has to be the smallest 4 wheel motorized vehicle I've ever seen in my life. It's a Shoprider and there's barely enough room for one person inside, much less anything in the way of baggage and gear.
Shoprider is a company that makes scooters for elderly people -- the kind you see zipping around at the store. This is their top end model, which you can learn more about at this link. It doesn't have license plates, so it likely isn't "legal" to drive on the highway, but I'm sure that won't stop a hardy retiree from going a block or two to the nearest store.
I'm not sure what it's top speed and range are, but as it's battery powered, I wouldn't recommend a long journey. Still, a most unusual vehicle, at least in my experience.
