Hoteliers embrace Fido

 pets

It seems more and more people are traveling with their pets.  People love their animals and want them along when they go on trips -- they're family, right?  Not all hoteliers are crazy about the idea, but they want to keep their clients happy and accommodating animals is a way to accomplish this.

This also gives a possibility of added revenue, partially offset by extra expenses incurred, such as dog bowls, dog beds and waste bags.  Many hotel rooms charge an extra per night fee for pets, ranging from a few dollars to several hundred.  Many have a size limit, ranging from as little as 20 pounds to no upward size restriction.  There's usually a limit of 2 animals to a room.  So if you plan on traveling with your pet, do some research and call around.  The hotel often designates a "pet floor", so that guests who don't want to be bothered by pet noises aren't.

What do you think of the idea?
