I’ve been to Barcelona a couple of times in the past, and it never really made a great impression on me. Until now. I visited the Spanish city a few weeks ago and, for the first time, I felt like I properly got to know Barcelona. For 3 days I explored the city’s famous architectural marvels by Gaudi, ate my way through numerous tapas bars and restaurants, and soaked up some desperately needed vitamin D.
There’s always something on in Barcelona, and I love how the city still feels alive at midnight. From Flamenco street artists, Catalan festivities and Spanish guitarists to drinking an authentic Sangria and eating delicious JamÓn ibÉrico and ham croquettes on a terras overlooking the sea.
This will definitely not be the last time I’m visiting Catalonia’s capital.
