Life has its balance in some ways...
After wandering through northwest Massachusetts recently to view the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, New York, I found that I was too early, by weeks or more, to see its promised beauty.
Not that it wasn't giving it a try, but, it was a far cry from its in-season appearance!

But I was talking about balance. Across the street from the former trolley bridge, life gave me a treat: A large store, full of candy of all sorts, both the elevated sort to give as gifts and the penny-candy memories of childhood.
Not to mention more than a dozen varieties of very tasty fudge...
...and the totally unexpected mash-up of Pez and Peeps. I wish now I had bought that, too, along with the ice cream and fudge...
