Kai Forsyth, a British student at Florida's Rollins College, got a big surprise when he realized he was all alone—except for the crew—on a British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Orlando on January 9th.
Fosyth, who had been home in the UK for a winter break, has posted TikTok videos of his experience on the 777-200, normally carrying up to 315 passengers. He told reporters he may have had a hint when he went to select seats and found that the entire plane had no seats selected.
Forsyth says it was "literally the comfiest I've ever been on a plane" when he set up a row of economy seats with armrests down and a pillow as a bed. He says the crew offered him 'all the snacks and unlimited food.' Unexplained is why Forsyth remained in the economy cabin. Commenters on his TikTok have asked why crew didn't upgrade him to the empty business or first-class cabins; he replied "They couldn't."
