49th State Brewing Company, Alaska

We stayed in the small town of Healy when we visited Denali National Park.  Healy is a few miles north of the main Denali Park entrance and offers a few hotels and restaurants in addition to those right at the entrance.

Without question, the best place to enjoy dinner in Healy was the 49th State Brewing Company.  This microbrewery/restaurant was bustling with business, and with good reason.

The decor is interesting -- something I'd describe as "rustic Alaskan".   As you'd expect in Alaska, there are lots of antlers and stuffed animals around.

The food was excellent pub grub and the beer was good.  We enjoyed three fine dinners here and would go back again.  The burgers and steaks are especially recommended.

Of interest, the bus used in filming "Into the Wild", based on Jon Krakaeur's book, is sitting near the entrance if you care to explore it or take a photo.

There is another fancier 49th State Brewing Company venue in Anchorage, if you can't make it to Denali, with a similar menu.
