Re: Panhandler Pies, Sandpoint, Idaho
I have been enjoying Dr Fumblefinger's recent posts on the Idaho panhandle. I visited it 5 years ago staying at the very comfortable Lodge at Sandpoint hotel, beside Lake Pend Oreille. Travelling from Canada, the road passes Bonner's Ferry, where my wife assures me there is a superb quilt shop. We also came across a bald eagle just beside the road about half a mile north of the border crossing.

Thank you for your comment and pictures, Rod. We have terrific sunsets in the panhandle, and I see bald eagles flying around almost every day. When things normalize, you'll need to leave your cozy home in England and come visit my wife and I in our new abode.

Beautiful! I also had only ever encountered the white variety. I shall look round to see whether I can source a pink-flowering one over here.
