Jonathan, I'm curious about your statement "...there is only one National Civil War Museum, and that is in Harrisburg." How is it the "only one" as opposed to others such as the National Civil War Museum in Richmond? I found your inclusion of "First at Manassas" personally interesting as the 2 Battles of Bull Run were fought on my family's farms, originally Pittsylvania, now Manassas National Battlefield Park.

I am glad you liked the post, and that my choice of paintings brought back that family connection. As for the term National, the museum in Richmond is the American Civil War Museum. When you Google "National Civil War Museum" this is the only one the comes up. Sorry it took so long to respond, I was in Cuba, and didn't have access to reliable wifi.
