I enjoy your journeys around " Small Town USA". The US has such a wealth of history. You should write a book so that Brits like me know where to search for new ventures - ready for my next trip across the pond. Thank You.

OK...I love the Packard...but what's with that Delorean? Has the time-travel equipment been stripped?

Yes, Paul, there was no sign of a flux capacitor. I have always like the look of the Delorean, especially the wings

That's a wonderful collection of cars Jonathan. I don't think I've seen a Packard before. So thanks for adding this maker to my list. I'm off to Google Packard images and spend an hour "going back in time" .. Q. Did every kid have a model Delorean ?

Garry, if you really want to know more about Packards..."Ask the man who owns one!" There, I got that in! It was Packard's great advertising slogan for many years. Enjoy your research: It was a great luxury brand that ran down after World War II, but it was also a pioneer in a number of ways, including being the first cars to have air-conditioning...in the 1930s!

Toledo in Ohio is an interesting story. If I recall a program I once saw on how state lines were determined, Toledo was in Michigan territory but that was contested by Ohio. After a bloodless skirmish between the two, a deal was struck where Ohio got Toledo and Michigan was given most of the Upper Peninsula (The Mitten). Who got the best deal?
