Wow! That's a lot of sheep! I imagine there are few places that offer such succulent moist grass for these desert dwellers. Must have been fun to stop and study them. And good that you didn't let those little dogs out of the car, as the sheep likely would have killed them.

Samantha's not too fond of crowds, so she likes to head for Laughlin: not as big or as crowded as Las Vegas, but with lots of attractions—and a real river.

Great photos and info on that iconic sign! On my last trip to Las Vegas, I found that the city is a very interesting place to walk. Because the airport is so close to the strip, I even walked there for my return flight home. Amazing what a different perspective you get when walking.

This is a wonderful post. Great pictures. I passed just south of here a couple of summers ago, but I did get to Oatman AZ. See my blog post here . I look forward to getting back to Laughlin and to Vegas.

Great article! Laughlin really is so different from Vegas and if you can call any spot with gambling, slow paced, Laughlin is it.
