The prices really are amazing there. The Pecan Fried Whiting basket is $5.95 on the menu and the Okra Gumbo is $2.75 .

A good question, and it is mentioned on the site: that part is up-to-date, and no smoking is allowed.

Perhaps they will compromise and allow e-cigarettes. Smoking without the tobacco smoke.

The 'lard with bacon bits' is common across much of northern and eastern Europe. The Germans call it Griebenschmalz, the Austrians Grammelschmalz. The English expression is pork dripping (but it often does not contain the 'bits'). You can make it yourself - you will find instructions online.
