Great finale to your visit to Guatemala, and very glad that you got to see the volcano erupt. It certainly is a memorable experience. I've only ever seen Kilauea on the Big Island erupt, but those images are forever seared into the brain.

Great photos and wonderful descriptions! We visited Antigua many years ago, but it was shrouded in the day we were there and we didn't get to see the famous volcanoes. It seems I missed much on my exploration of the city, but some of these sites are familiar. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to part II.
