Where in the World is TravelGumbo? (#171)

Here's the start of our latest travel puzzle, with a gentleman who appears to be working on a puzzle of his own. He's seated in a building that's famous in its area, but less-known (undeservedly!) to the rest of us.

Start your work from here: his identity may be helpful, and so may the bits of architecture visible behind him.

As the week goes on, there will be at least one new clue each day, hopefully either revealing more or giving you new avenues of investigation.

We'll meet again Monday, with a full blog revealing the location and some more about its place in the world and history. Happy hunting!
