United doubles down on international routes

United Airlines, the U.S.'s most international-focused airline and the biggest carrier across both the Atlantic and the Pacific, is set to do more of the same with 25 new routes added to next summer's schedule.

The added routes and destinations will leave United with non-stop service from the U.S. to 114 international cities, and with a schedule that's 25% bigger than last summer's. United says its international bookings for summer are already 15% ahead of 2022.

Among the destination cities added are Malaga, Spain, Dubai and Stockholm. Some of the new routes are to destinations already served but from new U.S. starting points, leaving United with heavy presence in a number of markets. United is planning almost two dozen flights a day from the U.S. to London Heathrow, and ten to Tokyo's two airports.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
