TripAdvisor, the travel info source you either love or hate, is clearly a giant of the industry...and it might be available for the right price. It's controlled by cable-and-more giant Liberty Media and John Malone, its head.

Malone separated out Liberty's holding in TripAdvisor into a separate company that might be bought by TripAdvisor itself, giving Malone and his partners a pile of cash—or a cash-rich company like Priceline or Expedia might offer a better price.
