A Paris couple are celebrating their civil union with an unusual honeymoon trip, cruising from Paris to Honfleur, Normandy on a pedal boat normally limited to afternoon amusements.
It won't be easy all the way for Remi le Calvez and Victoria Berni. While they got past bureaucratic rules to get permission for the boat to make the trip, they will still face heavier tides and currents as they get nearer the coast.
It's not their first unusual journey or their last; a year ago, they hitchhiked from Paris to Lapland dressed in Santa Claus suits, and next year they plan to tour Sri Lanka in a tuk tuk.
