The Lesson, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago

This cute sculpture called, The Lesson, was created by sculptor Darrell Davis. It displays a mother bear grasping a fish in her mouth as though she is teaching her two young cubs how to fish.

This bronze trio of black bears sits atop one of the limestone pedestals which comprise the Lincoln Park Zoo's West Gate entrance. I had to stop and take a few pictures while my husband and I were exploring the area.
