Strolling through Georgetown, DC

A town before Washington was a city, Georgetown has some of the city's oldest landmarks, as well as block on block of modest (but expensive!) row houses, with major shopping streets nearby.

These are a few glimpses of the neighborhood, gleaned on a springtime walk.

Long after Christmas, the candy endures.

A modern adaptation, but not an easy entrance...
