Stand up Paddle Boarding is an offshoot of surfing where people stand up on the board and use a paddle to propell through the water.

In the Maritimes, this is a summer pastime for a lot of people. The many calm bays give people plenty of space to practice this activity. The bluffs of Caraquet give you a great view of the extensive bay and show why this hobby is so popular in that area.
