Saint -Simon is an interesting village on the Acadian Peninsula. Legend has it that Captain Antoine-Charles Denys de Saint-Simon ship, that fought in the battle of Retigouche in 1760, escaped into the shallow bay near Saint-Simon. The captain and crew transported the goods on the ship to shore and sunk the boat. The captain returned to Quebec a year later but residents say his crew came back and helped establish Saint-Simon.  A cannonball was found by divers in 2015. A local museum tells more and it will be a future TG blog when I'm able to go.
