Poland's Bus to Hel loses its 666

In Poland, you can still go to Hel, but after accusations of Satanism levied against the local bus company, the route number will no longer be 666.

The number, believed by some to refer to a Biblical “number of the beast” will be changed to 669. The company announced the change on social media, saying that "this year, we're turning the last 6 upside down."

Hel is a seaside resort town, at the end of a long peninsula jutting out into the Baltic. While it is technically closest to Gydnia, and can be reached by a two-hour ferry ride, its land connection requires a 50-minute train ride to Wladyslawowo followed by a transfer to the bus to Hel.
