No 'Sin City' at new Vegas hotel

In a city known for drinking, gambling, smoky rooms and an aura of delicious decadence, it's hard for a new hotel to stand out from the rest, but the new Majestic, under construction now, has a gimmick.

The ultra-luxury hotel is being built around a 70,000 square foot, four floor fitness center, but with no casino and no smoking allowed. According to the developer, Lorenzo Doumani, “There’s a lot of very healthy people in Vegas. It’s not just the casinos and the smoke and all of that.”

So, who's going to Vegas to spend big bucks for a healthy lifestyle? The target audience is convention-goers from Fortune 500 companies that will pick up the tab and whose medical policies may cover some of the costs. The new hotel is right around the corner from the new convention center.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
