Well, of course, it only looks that way.

And the gentleman involved remains a mystery, despite the inscription on the pedestal to Don Álvaro de Bazán, because he might be the Spanish Admiral who was a hero of the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.

Or it might be his father of the same name who took Tunis for Spain.

While his father was called Álvaro de Bazán the Elder, that gives short shrift to HIS father, Don Álvaro de Bazán, who was one of the leading figures in Spain's capture of Granada.

So, who's on first?

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
