Leipzig's 2014 Celebrations Make it a Year for Music

Leipzig is celebrating a batch of musical anniversaries this year. This month saw the re-opening of the Mendelssohn Museum with expanded space and a conduct-it-yourself electronic orchestra; next month is the 300th birthday of KPE Bach, son of Johann Sebastian and a major composer in his own right, and May and June will see concerts celebrating the 150th birthday of Richard Strauss.
