On our recent trip to Turkey, we found a somewhat different approach; in Istanbul's airport there are machines set up by a new company, Travelers Box. These machines allow you to deposit your left-overs and use the funds toward gift cards from stores and websites (including Amazon) or to have the funds deposited to your PayPal account. We did that with ours; it was in PayPal within a day. So far, they're in Milan, Manchester, and Tbilisi, Georgia also.
