Casablanca is the country’s busiest port and the commercial hub of Morocco. With a population of over 3.5 million, Casablanca is a relatively small city packed with great attractions. You always heard that Casablanca is not worth visiting, so you are confused about whether you should take some time to explore Casablanca or not.

The city came to prominence as one of the most important cities of the Berber Barghawata kingdom. In the 15th century, it was famous as a safe harbor for pirates. In the year 1775, the town was destroyed by an earthquake and was rebuilt by the Sultan Muhammad Bin Abdullah. In the 20th century, the French colonized the city.

Now Casablanca is an important port in the region. It is a commercial city where thousands come to seek new opportunities. It is a crowded city where you can have traffic problems, but when you would see the fantastic traditional and modern Moroccan architecture, you would be enthralled.

Casablanca is a commercial city, so you will not face any problem while finding a room in a hotel. Casablanca does not lack for hotels and resorts, but make sure you book a room in advance. The hotels provide a comfortable retreat so that you can feel at home. The facilities you want to get will depend on your budget. 

If you book a room in a luxury hotel, then you will get more facilities like satellite TV, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, spa, fitness center any many more. You may be thinking that it is not possible to visit the famous places in one day. It is true that you can’t explore the entire city in one day, but you can visit the most famous places in Casablanca.  Start your exploration by visiting the most iconic site in Casablanca, the “Hassan II mosque.”  For those who are interested in visiting the Islamic house of worship, then the Hassan II mosque, is the best place. It represents the oldest part of the city. The old medina is a great place to explore on foot. There are shops where people sell different spices, handmade crafts, and clothes. Late night:

There are not that many bars and clubs in the city. However, you can enjoy the nightlife at the beaches. Tourists and locals enjoy their time at night, partying at the beaches. In fact, the beaches turn into a party venue. Since Casablanca is in a Muslim country, the nightlife is not as exotic as European or American cities.
