Hotel construction boom in Las Vegas

Seems the recession may finally be coming to an end in Las Vegas.  Resort and hotel construction is beginning to pick up in the city after many projects were stalled during the prolonged economic downturn.  About $9 billion in construction projects are planned or underway in Vegas.  More than 40 million visitors are expected in 2014, which would set a record for the third year in a row  Currently overall spending in vegas is just 77% of pre-recession levels.  More here.          Stuart Dee/Getty Images
