Gumbo's Pic of the Day, Nov. 19, 2015: Fall in Toronto

Friends of mine were kind enough to send me a photo from Toronto - in the fall.
To be in the right place at the right time.
This was taken early October.
It's good to see a display of nature within the city.
Maybe you could add some fall pictures from where you live ?
With a date when we'd expect to see some spectacular colours of nature !

Great photo, Garry!  Love all those reds they get in the maple leaves in the fall out East.

Falls in the foothills of the Rockies comes around mid to late Sept.   It's mostly shades of yellow and gold, but I find it beautiful, especially the larches.  These are pine trees that are deciduous, in that they loose their needles each fall.  Here's what they look like.

Beautiful pix indeed DrF.

I will often admire the colours of trees like most people would look at flowers.

The most amazing sight in nature is flying over the polar route from the UK to the US west coast. The world turns to black and white from the airplane window.

Then over Canada you slowly see the world coming back to life as the colour of the trees return.
