Today is important for several reasons. It's the 239th birthday of the United States and it marks an important publication on TravelGumbo. @59NationalParks has completed their quest to visit all 59 Parks in the United States and we're honored they've decided to publish their visits to parks 58 and 59 right here on our website!

What could be more American on this 4th of July than a visit to one of its amazing National Parks? For our "Pic of the Day" I've focused on Arizona's Grand Canyon. It's one of the most unique places I've ever visited. The colors, changing light and sheer scale of the place are fascinating and almost difficult to comprehend....
