Flixbus, the discount bus operator that's spread across Europe in recent years is now expanding rapidly in the U.S., and is offering a fare sale to get your attention.
From now through December 22, you can buy tickets for 99c each way between a variety of U.S. cities for travel between January 6 and March 15. The tickets are available on the company;'s website.
Flixbus is obviously aiming at taking market share from Megabus and Boltbus, its two major discount competitors. Megabus recently ran a 200,000-ticket giveaway for travel early next year. Like Flixbus, Megabus is European-owned, a subdidiary of Britain's Stagecoach group. Boltbus is owned by Greyhound.
