Indonesia's Garuda Airlines has gone possibly past any other airline in enforcing a mask rule: It's put one on the nose of one of its new A330-900neo jetliners, and will add it to four more.
The additional masks will be designed in a public online competition for the best design. The first one took 120 hours and 60 people to execute.
The airline's chief told press that "We realise that efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid -19 pandemic requires full support from various parties or stakeholders. Hopefully, our efforts can increase public awareness of implementing health protocols, especially through the wear of mask in daily activities."
