Well, not quite the way that sounds. But Eurostar, which operates high-speed rail between the UK and Europe is warning passengers to stop trying to take WWI and WWII shells home as souvenirs, even if they've been made into planters.
Since last year's 100th anniversary of the end of WWI and during this year's 75th anniversary of the D-Day landing, old ordnance in luggage has caused shutdowns and evacuations of rail terminals, causing extensive delays and backups. Most recently, Paris's Gare du Nord was evacuated for several hours.
Eurostar says even disarmed shells can set off X-ray alarms, and warned "As you're travelling during the commemoration period, please remember that you can't bring any real or replica bombs, shells (complete or partial) or weapons on board - even if you bought them from a gift shop. If you bring them with you, they'll be confiscated at security and may result in the need to evacuate the station."
