December 13, 2019: Resting beside the Road, Sri Lanka

While on a road trip around Sri Lanka, we spotted a group of Gray Langur monkeys sitting on a fence outside a temple in the southern portion of the island. Gray langurs have gray fur with a cranial tuft, and dark faces.  They are found in both Sri Lanka and India, and are quite easy going and fun to watch.

I thought these mother langurs with their babies were especially cute.
