Danish forest park gets treetop tower walk

Visitors to a Danish  forest preserve will soon have a stunning new way to view the woods and surrounding area with construction starting on a nearly 150-foot tower that's actually a 3000-foot sloped climb.

The tower, built almost entirely of wood, is rising in Gisselfeld Klosters Skove, about an hour south of Copenhagen in Zealand. The tower will be part of Camp Adventure, an existing sports facility within the park. The camp expects the tower will draw over 100,000 visitors a year, compared to 18,000 now.

Despite its size, developers say, it will not clash with the bucolic setting. They say the materials and colors chosen will harmonize with the setting.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
