Crystal Cruises adds vaccinated-only rule

Crystal Cruises, a luxury brand that operates both ocean and river cruises, has joined a growing list of lines that will only serve passengers who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 when cruising resumes.

Up to now, most cruise lines preparing for the resumption of cruising have focused on testing requirements, rather than vaccination, and so far no government regulators have required vaccination, but most plans were created before wide availability of vaccines.

Sage, a UK-based company and two North American companies, American Queen Steamboat Company and Victory Cruise lines, have also posted vaccine-only rules. Crystal is the first ocean-cruise operator to do so.
