Concierge Apps are popular with Hotel Guests

Hotel concierge apps are becoming very popular with many travelers, and major Hotel brands now consider them as "must-haves".  The apps allow access to a guest's smartphone and help to anticipate their needs before arriving at the hotel property.  Larger hospitaly marketers are developing their own mobile technology, but others are use 3rd party solutions.

Apps are useful for booking rooms, driving room service orders, and opens communications with the staff in a way that companies hope will personalize the guest's stay.   The more satisfied the guest is, the more likely they will spend more during a visit and the more likely they will return to that vendor in the future.

Of course, a person using an app will expect someone to respond to them and to do so very quickly.  I'm not sure if all hotels have thought out this situation completely.

Do you use concierge apps?  I resisted so far because except for Marriott I have little brand loyalty (and mostly buy by location and price).  I'd like to hear about your experiences.
