The Card Home, a log cabin built in 1887, was the residence of Charles Card and his family. Mr. Card was a Mormon settler, the first in the region, who moved across the Canada-USA border into what was then the NorthWest Territories (and decades later became the province of Alberta). His wife, Zina Presendia Young Williams Card, was one of Brigham Young's children.
The modest log cabin measured 14' x 14' (it has been added on to since originally built), and served as a lodging place for visitors to Cardston before the first local hotel was built several decades later. The cabin still stands where it was constructed and is a Registered Provincial Historic Site.

There is no admission fee although donations are accepted. The Cardston home was closed when I visited because of CoVid.
