Brussels Airlines gets a new look

Brussels Airlines, the closest thing to a Belgian flag carrier since the 2001 bankruptcy of Sabena, is taking another shot at changing its logo, with the announced goal of giving greater emphasis to its Belgian identity.

Which may seem a bit ironic to those who consider that it is owned by German airline group Lufthansa.

The new logo, which gives major prominence to the word 'Brussels' and mates it with a square formed of nine red dots replaces its 2007 version, which arranged 14 dots into a letter 'b' and which replaced a very similar version that had only 13 dots. And yes, 'unlucky' is why the change to 14 was made.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
