Big Brother: Singapore airport is watching you

Singapore's Changi Airport, repeatedly ranked as the world's best, could soon become the world's nosiest with plans to leverage new applications for its security cameras.

With hundreds of high-def security cameras throughout the terminals, it's looking at new tricks, such as locating passengers who are lost in the duty-free or a bar when they should be at the gate ("Mr. Smith, please flush and finish, your plane is waiting?")

The airport's new Terminal 4 is already using facial recognition for self-service options at check-in, bag drop, immigration and boarding. For more details from Japan Today, click HERE.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
