August 17, 2018: Mexican Wrestler's Mask

I enjoyed watching wrestling on television as a child.  Back then it all seemed very real to me.  One of the "bad guy" wrestlers wore a mask like you see on the left above, and assumed a Mexican accent.  So to me, this became a Mexican wrestler's mask.  I later learned that almost all wrestlers in Mexico wear these masks and adapt a persona (a type of acting, as is all wrestling).  For a wrestler to be "unmasked" in a fight is the end of that persona.

I was surprised when visiting an artist's studio in Buenos Aires that he shared my fascination with the same style of mask.  How could I resist but capture a photo of "El Diablo's" headgear?
