Ama offers seven rivers, seven weeks, one ship

AmaWaterways has cobbled together the river cruise equivalent of a round-the-world cruise, connecting a variety of itineraries on a single ship for a seven-week cruise from Amsterdam to Giurgiu, Romania, sailing down seven rivers and stopping at ports in 15 countries.

Most of the trip has been possible in the past by booking individual cruises on different ships, but for this one, all guests will be on AmaMora for the whole cruise that includes the Rhine, Scheldt, Mass, Waal, Main, Moselle and Danube rivers as well as a passage through the Main-Danube canal.

The first trip will start from Amsterdam April 22 and end in Giurgiu on June 10, where passengers will board for the return version, leaving Giurgiu June 10 and ending in Amsterdam on July 29. The fare for the journey includes the usual food and beverages but also laundry and gratuities. There are land expeditions in each port.

The best part of every trip is realizing that it has upset your expectations
