Airbus releases drawing of self-piloted aircraft

Airbus' advance projects outpost in Silicon Valley, A³, offers up its first drawings of project Vahana, a aircraft that is self-piloted, and can automatically detect and avoid obstacles.  It will carry one passenger or cargo. They hope to be  the first certified passenger aircraft to fly without a pilot and set a goal to demonstrate a prototype by the end of 2017.
