Airbnb adds new places, odd spaces

Airbnb, which is never shy about unusual rentals that garner publicity has a few new ones, and the return of one that drew scorn months ago.

Leading the list of otherwise unlikely residences are a chance to spend the night in the balloon-borne house made famous in the movie Up, which has been carefully re-created and given a lift by a construction crane.

Other unusual venues in the current bunch include a limited-run overnight stay under the clock at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris that includes a terrace to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics, and a chance to stay in the Purple Rain house, which once belonged to Prince.

And, at the other end of the scale, the London Airbnb that consists of three tents, each with its own 'working desk space' and a shared hotplate kitchen, is back. The listing was dropped in January after public outrage, but it's back again—with the price raised from £68 a night to £80.
